Adding Pictures

Click the "Pictures" Link in your Editors Only menu. There you will find a chronological list of all the Pictures in your site. To add a picture, click on the "Create A New Picture" link at the bottom of the pictures list. The Create A New Picture form will come up. It is much like the Create A New Story form.

Enter a Title for your picture then click the "Browse" button and choose a GIF or JPEG file from your computer. Next you have the option of entering text information about the picture (alt tag). When you're finished, click postNewPicture: .

FYI: Upload times my vary depending on the size of the file you are adding. Be patient and avoid clicking "post new picture" more than once.

Tip: In Manila, it is important to give all items a unique name. One effective strategy for doing this is to name your pictures with multiple words run together ("ourstaff" instead of "Our Staff"). Removing the spaces ensures that you will never give a picture the same name as a story.
