prospecting: To search an area for valuable minerals and ores, such as, gold, silver, or oil.
livestock: Animals, such as horses, cows, pigs or sheep that are raised on a farm or ranch.
community: A group of people that live in the same area, the people in a town or district.
trade or barter: To exchange goods for other goods without using money.
copper mine: A mine containing metal that has a reddish-brown color and is a chemical element. It is used to make wire because it is a good conductor of heat and electricity and it does not rust.
family plot: A small area of land. Sometimes the term used for the burial grounds for family members.
