1. apprentice - a person who serves another, for a period of time, to learn an art or trade.
2. foreman - the person in charge of a group of workers.
3. adobe - a brick made of sun-dried clay and straw.
4. buckboard - a small horse-drawn wagon.
5. homestead - land given by the U.S. Government that is lived on and developed.
