Welcome to the Superintendent of Schools Classified Association
Purpose Statement
The objectives of this organization are to:
- Provide its members with duly authorized
representation for the purpose of protecting and improving their rights
under the Merit System.
- To settle disputes between employee and employer arising from grievances as they apply to the Merit System, and
- To provide the communication vehicle between employee and employer.
Membership
Our Membership continues to grow. As of February 2008, we have 814 Members!
Remember there are benefits to being a member of SOSCA. Only SOSCA members can apply for the book scholarship. SOSCA does the negotiations each year for the classified staff. With a membership this size we can accomplish many things, but we need to have participation from
you, the membership! You might ask yourself, "how could I make a
difference?" You can come to the general meetings. You could become a
representative. Representatives attend the board meetings every other month. Send in requests for the nomination committee. Every item that goes to negotiations comes from the membership (if you don’t let us know what you want, we can’t negotiate for it!) Send items for the Newsletter. This is your newsletter and if we don’t hear from you, we don’t know what you would like to see printed. Membership is only $1.00 per month for ten months and is payroll deductible.
