A California Subject Matter Project&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;b&gt;Who Are We?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Teacher leaders from elementary, middle and high school dedicated to:
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;offering opportunities for teachers of all levels to enhance their knowledge of the target language, literature and culture 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;working collaboratively to support classroom language, literature and culture 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;working collaboratively; to support classroom language teachers in improving student achievement and literacy 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;establishing a professional home&amp;nbsp;for language teachers 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;helping teachers have an impact through leadership roles, partnerships and student achievement.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;What do we do?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We present programs that will allow participants to:
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size=&quot;3&quot;&gt;S&lt;/font&gt;pend time practicing multiple approaches to learning
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size=&quot;3&quot;&gt;L&lt;/font&gt;earning to engage students in content-learning, using the target language as the medium of instruction 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size=&quot;3&quot;&gt;I&lt;/font&gt;mmerse themselves in contextualized foreign language
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size=&quot;3&quot;&gt;C&lt;/font&gt;oncentrate on broadening their knowledge of literature and culture
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font size=&quot;3&quot;&gt;K&lt;/font&gt;eep abreast of language-specific literacy and standards-embedded pedagogy&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;How do we do it?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In collaboration with teacher leaders, &lt;u&gt;YOU&lt;/u&gt; engage in, develop, and implement:&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;classroom acitivites to enhance student proficiency 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;activities to meet learning needs of students 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;reading and writing strategies 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;standards-based instructional sequences 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;assessment strategies 
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;techniques of collegial coaching&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br&gt;
