Student Leadership Training for Middle Schools and High Schools
Target: Grades 6-8 and 9-12
This training, held at beautiful K.E.E.P. Sierra (the mountain campus of the Kern Environmental Education Program), is designed for student leaders and for students with unrealized potential. The workshop, which begins Friday afternoon and ends at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, focuses on building trust, communication and problem-solving skills, conflict resolution skills, and multi-cultural awareness. Students participate in three mini-workshops, two whole-group sessions, a trail hike, and an action planning session. This exciting workshop is the product of a collaboration between law enforcement, probation, and schools.
