Kern County Annual Middle Grades Student Leadership Conference

Target:  Students, grades 5-8

Sponsored by the Fruitvale School District and the Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office, this one-day conference in October brings together middle school students from all over the county. While the conference theme varies from year to year, incorporated inot it are the concepts of responsibility, service, and spirit. Students attend a general session in the morning and hear a motivational speaker. They then attend a series of workshops facilitated by educators, business people, agency staff, and local political leaders who address the conference theme, tying it to their own professional leadership expertise.
