Suicide Intervention

Administrators, classroom teachers, classified staff, counselors, and service provides from public and private agencies.

About the training:

One in seven adults thinks about suicide, and amoung students, suicide is a leading cause of dealth. This intensive two-day training focuses on giving participants the knowledge, attitude and skills to intervence effectively with students who contemplate, attempt, or carry out a suicide. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to assess the degree of risk in a student, identify factors that indicate and predict the risk of suicide, demonstrate skills and competencies to intervene with a person at risk, and understand personal and societal attitudes and beliefs about suicide.
