Safe Schools Planning

Who should attend?

District and school site administrators, law enforcement officers, counselors, community members, parents, students.

About the training:

Crime, accidents, natural disasters: planning for safe schools is an essential and important process for every district, and having a plan in place before the problem occurs is the goal of this training. Participants will learn the four components of a comprehensive approach to school safety, and receive step-by-step guidance in establishing a plan for safe schools, including:

  1. reviewing the current "climate" of the school;
  2. establishing a diverse and broad-based safe schools planning committee;
  3. developing a team vision and goals;
  4. collecting and analyzing data;
  5. identifying priorities and objectives;
  6. selecting and implementing activities; and
  7. ongoing evaluation.

Registration Fees:

$25/person.  This fee includes all workshop materials.
