Getting Results:
Developing safe and healthy kids is a collection of documents designed to help California school districts use research-based strategies in designing and implementing their alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention programs, as well as their youth violence prevention programs. Getting Results accomplishes this by engaging both leading researchers and practitioners in critically examining current research findings and their implications for schools.
In addition to publications, Getting Results also provides orientation and training through county offices of education.
Getting Results, developed by Health & Education Communication Consultants (HECC) is one part of a comprehensive prevention effort from the Healthy Kids Program Office at the California Department of Education (CDE).
