Who schould attend?

Too Good For Drugs and Violence is intended for grades 9-12 high school classroom teachers.

About the training:

This comprehensive prevention education program is designed to equip students, grades 9-12, with knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to remain safe and drug free. This program combines components of Too Good for Violence and Too Good for Drugs in an innovative approach that allows high school students and schools to meet both prevention and academic needs.

This program:

  • Promotes positive pro-social behaviors and school bonding
  • Develops positive life skills
  • Encourages positive and drug free norms
  • Fulfills a CPM (Categorical Program Monitoring) Requirement

Too Good for Drugs & Violence – High School Core Curriculum can be incorporated into science or health classes. The Core Curriculum includes 14 one-hour lessons covering topics such as goal setting, managing emotions, conflict resolution and communication.

Too Good for Drugs & Violence – High School Infusion Lessons feature 12 lessons that incorporate prevention into standard subject areas such as English, Social Studies, Health/Science. This cross-curricular teaching method reinforces and expands on the information and skills taught in the Core Curriculum.
