Signs of a troubled child
A child may:
- Miss school a lot.
- Run away from home.
- Suffer extreme mood swings.
- Be careless and accident prone.
- Lose his appetite or eat a lot.
- Be unsociable and withdraw from family and/or peer activities.
- Smoke cigarettes or drink at a young age.
- Suffer dramatic changes in energy levels.
- Engage in lying or stealing.
- Undergo dramatic changes in appearance – become sloppy and unkempt.
- Seem to be "sick" a lot – complain of colds, flu, headaches and stomach upsets.
