Applications will be accepted until October 21, 2011 for 900 hour positions for the East Oakland community. All other communities have closed applications for the 2011-12 year. October 21, 2011Mentor youth - California for one year,
receive $5,550 full-time ($2,775 for part-time) education award at end of service
Details:
- Mentor youth in selected California communities
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Service begins September 1, 2011 and ends June 30, 2012
- Applicants of all ages over 17 years of age will be considered
- SCHEDULES VARY FOR FULL & PART-TIME MEMBERS
- Monthly Living Allowance of $1,400 full-time ($740 for part-time)
- Health Insurance Benefits (if eligible)
- Child Care Benefits (if eligible)
- $5,550 ($2,775 part-time) Education Award at completion of 1700 (900 part-time) hours of service
Ten-month, full and part-time positions are available for AmeriCorps members to serve as mentors in various California communities starting September 1 2011 and ending June 30, 2012. Applicants must be able to work a pre-determined schedule designated by program staff.
