Mission and Vision
Research Services is a professional research unit of the Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office, a recognized leader in education in the state of California. We endeavor to meet the research needs of policy makers from K-12 institutions that serve Kern County's increasingly diverse population. Research Services prides itself on the high quality and completeness of its work while upholding the Code of Ethics of the Association for Institutional Research.Mission Statement
From its inception in 1994, the mission of Research Services has been to promote the education and welfare of children. We do so by providing information and analytic support on strategic planning issues to the office of the Superintendent of Schools. Research Services also offers affordable consultation and research support services to educational and community agencies. Services include survey research methodology, program evaluation, data acquisition, geographic information systems, and demographic and other statistical analysis. We reflect the Superintendent of Schools' continuing commitment to public service to the residents of Kern County and the state of California.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to be a research institution of local and state renown, whose analyses in the areas of K-12 education and GIS are widely recognized. We see Research Services as a place of discovery, critical thinking, and collaboration. We further believe that the use of quality research, the latest technology, and partnerships within the community can enrich the education and lives of Kern County families and children.
