Retailing Careers Co-Op
Retailing Careers Co-Op in Kern County is designed to develop or improve competencies in distributive occupations.  Development of attitudes, skills and competencies related to marketing and merchandising is stressed.  Retailing Careers Co-Op students earn and learn in Kern business establishments; they are supervised by the employer and the Retailing Careers Co-Op teacher.  (360 hour program)

Retail Marketing
The Retail Marketing Program is designed to train students in sales, marketing, and fashion merchandising techniques.  All students learn store operation through Community Classroom experience.  Training includes work in selling, inventory control, cashiering, display and advertising.  Books used in the course deal with mathematics, marketing, psychology, and retailing.  (360 hour program)

Job Skills
The Job Skills Program is designed to develop or improve competencies in skills related to seeking employment.  The emphasis is placed on the development of attitudes, skills, and the ability to seek successful employment.  Training will include marketing mathematics, job interviewing, psychology, selling and cashiering.  The total process of learning can only take place when the student is receptive to what is being taught.  The Job Skills Program offers students the incentive to go beyond the classroom situation into healthy job employemnt.  (156 hour program)
