Applied Child Development
The Applied Child Development program is designed to provide the students with proper knowledge of child development and ability to recognize individual differences among children.  Instruction includes assisting the student to become familiar with appropriate educational activities, materials, equipment, and procedures; and also to understand and explain what children are learning through the entire program.  In addition, the student will be able to identify a wide variety of responses children make to materials and learning experiences; and distinguish strengths and weaknesses in teaching, in procedures, and in activities offered to children.  Being able to understand and to demonstrate role differences in being an observer and a participatnt will be taught.  (360 hour program)

Food Services
The Food Services Program offers the student experience in all aspects of the commercial food service industry.  Food handling and health regulations are covered.  Preparation of routine restaurant and cafeteria parties are included.  (360 hour program)
