All committees meet at the University Square Building 5th floor, 2000 "K" Street, Bakersfield.

To link agencies, programs, and providers through the distribution of centralized information in order to promote and enhance quality child care for Kern County children. This committee’s responsibilities include the maintenance of the web site, coordination of an annual community forum, development of a community awarness campaign, promotion of Accreditation and the recruitment of council members.

Meets the first Wednesday of each month from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m.
at the University Square, 5th floor

To advocate for quality and to address community issues regarding the early care and education of children ages infant to school age. This committee’s primary responsibilities are to coordinate the Infant Toddler and School Age Seminars,  Director's Luncheons, the Early Care and Education Retention Project and the new Training Project.

Meets fourth Wednesday of each month from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.
at the University Square, 5th floor

To Monitor legislation pertinent to children and families, develop and maintain working relationships with elected officials and their staff.  Primary responsibilies include scheduling visits with elected officials, disseminate E-Letters, coordinate a public policy forum, develop position statements, assist with the development of the annual priorities and the needs assessment. 

Meets third Tuesday of each month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
at the University Square, 5th floor.
