Teacher - Infant Development Program
SALARY
$40,354 - $73,956 per year. Maximum entry level is $57,223 per year, based on 25 steps and 185 service days. Additional $1,000 annual stipend for M.A. and $1,300 for doctorate. Prepaid medical with prepaid prescription card, vision, dental, and counseling plans provided for employee and family. A life insurance program is also prepaid for the employee.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach a special day class designed for infants and/or toddlers. Continually develop the class program to implement educational goals and objectives developed with the families. Develop home programs and train the family in adaptation of the home environment, techniques for handling child and developing realistic expectations for the child. Develop individual goals and objectives for infants with their families.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree is preferred. Must possess a California credential authorizing instruction of special education students. Successful teaching experience in planning to implement IEPs for special education students. Knowledge of curriculum, materials, and strategies for educating students with severe disabling conditions. Preferably one year experience in teaching in an infant development program.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver's license and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage.
