SALARY:
$41,766 - $59,226 per year. Maximum entry level is $57,223 per year, based on 185 service days, 7 hours per day. Additional $1,000 annual stipend will be paid for a master's degree; $1,300 annual stipend for doctorate. Prepaid medical with prepaid prescription card, vision, dental, and counseling plans provided for employee and family. A life insurance program is also prepaid for the employee.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess students to determine present levels of learning styles and areas of disability. Prepare and maintain appropriate student records. Assume primary responsibility for development and implementation of the Individual Education Plan. Provide instruction and services to students with disabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree. Possess or be eligible to obtain a valid California special education credential consistent with the assignment. Bilingual (Spanish/English or ASL/English) is desirable. Teaching experience in special education desirable. Background in assessment, development and interpretation of IEPs. Knowledge of current trends, innovations and exemplary practices in special education.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver's license, and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
