The merit system is designed to provide a fair and equitable personnel management program dedicated to the recruitment, retention and development of employees on the basis of merit and job related qualifications. Our office is education related, but our services touch a far larger segment of our community. As a public agency we hold a public trust. We must hold ourselves to a high standard of accountability.
