THE GLENNVILLE RODEO IS NOW PART OF THE HEARTLAND PRORODEO SERIES! This ambitious new project for the PRCA attracts the top talent in the PRCA to small rodeo's like ours. Cowboys and Cowgirls who compete in the HEARTLAND PRORODEO SERIES earn points to qualify them for the HEARTLAND PRORODEO SERIES FINALS. Lucky qualifiers will compete at the finals in Waco, Texas in November, where they ride for their share of the $500,000 prize money. As a Heartland ProRodeo even in 2008, the GLENNVILLE RODEO received double the entries in almost every event. This year, we again anticipate having an additional two hours of "slack" following the official PRCA Rodeo event -- and you are all invited to stay and watch!
The RODEO DANCE starts at 8 PM, featuring the vocal & musical talents of the SIERRA STORM band. Dance proceeds will be going directly to Links for Life, a Breast Cancer Support group located in Bakersfield. This wonderful organization provides free mammograms for ladies under 40, wigs, hats & scarves for ladies receiving chemotherapy treatment, support groups, and an extensive medical library to help those looking for information. UPDATE: The GMVA was able to present a check for $2570 to Links For Life! Thank you Cowboys and Cowgirls for your support of our Tough Enough to Wear Pink Events!
