Dream Center & Coffee House

Welcome to the Dream Center and Coffee House!

The Dream Center & Coffee House is a one stop for current and former foster youth. It is located in downtown Bakersfield at 1212 18th Street.

What is it that we do?

  • Help youth by helping them with their needs
  • Provide a safe place for foster youth to hang out and participate in peer supported activities, and
  • Have fun!!!

Every so often a youth has a need, and they write down their wish and post it on the Magic Bulletin Board in the lobby of the Dream Center. During the past year the following wishes have been met:

    One Car
    Two Laptops
    One Bed
    Misc. Households items
    Television & DVD player

(A need would be: a laptop for college, a car-seat for a baby or young child, a scientific calculator for geometry)
