Family Day Care (Northwest Bakersfield)
 A small capacity family child care program needs an on-call helper to fill in if provider has doctor's appointments, vacation days, or just needs extra help for a few hours. For now, the position is part-time job with a possible 20-30 hours a month. Salary is $8.00 per hour. Provider is hoping to start a large day care by June or July of 2008. Based upon performance, applicant may then be offered a full-time position. Applicant must be fingerprinted, CPR certified, have had a TB skin test and at least 18 years of age. Two part-time Teacher positions are available immediately to work as substitute teachers in a large facility serving 250 families. Children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. Duties include setting up and monitoring environments that are developmentally appropriate for young children, serving meals, appropriate nap time dutes as needed. Qualifications include 12 semester units of early childhood education required. 3 Units of infant/toddler development desired. 6 month - 1 year experience working with children in a center based program. Salary range $7.76 - $8.50 per hour. Will be open until position is filled.
