A part time School Age Teacher is needed at Suburu Elementary to provide care for children ages 5-12 years old, develop daily activities for the children in your care, attend all staff required meetings and agendas, and participate in the above activities with the children and/or other staff members.
Qualifications:
- 12 units in Early Childhood Education
- CPR/First Aide Certified
- Valid Driver's License
- Health Screening Report with TB Test, this form will be provided upon interview.
- Copy of offical transcripts
- Work Experience Letter(s), preferably at least 6 mos. experience working with children.

Bethany Services(Bakersfield)
A full time infant/toddler aprrentice teacher/van driver is needed to implement a child development program for children ages zero to five years under the supervision of the child care director and teacher coordinator, and teachers. Duties may include, but are not limited to: supervise the children individually and in groups; provide quality child care while meeting appropriate educational and emotional needs of the children; provide physical care: first aid, diaper changing, meals to children; assist in and attend parent meetings and school functions as required; maintain accurate records of each child as are necessary to assure quality care and compliance with licensing; complete all service training and staff meetings; do necessary cleaning and maintenance; assist in snack preparation; carry out tasks thought to be necessary by the director, teacher coordinator, teachers, or site supervisors; comply with, uphold, and report violations of regulations; maintain contact and communication with parents through parent education, teacher conferences, and formal discussions; and perform other related duties as assigned.
Van driver duties include transporting children to and from school, performing daily health check on students, keeping accurate driving logs, and sign-in/sign-out logs, and installation and removal of car seats.
Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent and the successful completion of 6 units of ECE/CD courses. Required courses are Child Growth and Development or; Child, Family & Community. Must provide current proof of Infant and Child CPR, First Aid certification, criminal record clearance, valid driverÆs license, and DMV report. Health Screening and TB test must be administered within 1 year prior to or 7 days after employment. Is responsible for reporting to the Director.
Must demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of children and families from a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disabled, and ethnic backgrounds.
