greyarrow: FamilyWize Prescription Drug Discount Card
The discount card is available from United Way, from many of the participating pharmacies, from nonprofit agencies throughout the area, or online at www.familywize.org <http://www.familywize.org/> . The card may be used by anyone who does not have prescription drug coverage (or by those who have exhausted their benefits or whose medicines are not covered by their plan). There are no applications to fill out; no eligibility requirements; no income or age limits. Simply present the card at one of 100 participating Kern County pharmacies and claim your savings! It's just like using a coupon, except that you get to keep the coupon and use it over and over for everyone in your household.

If you would like a supply of discount cards to distribute to your clients, please contact Rachel Frasnelly at United Way (Rachel.f@uwkern.org or 834-1382) and we'll get some out to you. Healthy Families is low cost insurance for children and teens. It provides health, dental and vision coverage to children who do not have insurance and do not qualify for free Medi-Cal. Healthy Families is for children 18 years old and younger who live in California. To qualify, the family must fit income guildelines and rules about immigration and other insurance
