Community Connection for Child Care has a Resource Lending Library designed to make your job a little easier. The Resource Lending Library is open to parents, child care professionals, teachers and anyone who works with young children.

Resource & Referral Library

CCCC's Resource Center helps child care providers and parents expand the learning opportunities for their children by offering access to our laminating service, binding machine, copy machine, Ellison machine and much, much more! Each of these tools can help you add pizzazz to your reading, creative projects and interactive programs. We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful center - as a resource in helping you be the best you can be!

  • Laminating Services
    Heat and cold lamination services are available for use by the public. Items up to 25 inches in width may be heat laminated at a cost of 30 cents per foot. Cold lamination offers the flexibility of two-sided lamination and on-sided lamination with adhesive on the back. Items up to 12 inces wide can be cold laminated at a cost of 40 cents per foot.
  • Ellison Machine
    The Ellison Machine cuts perfect letters, numbers and shapes out of paper, tag, board, felt, etc. The machine is free to use; however, you must bring your own materials. Available dies (blocks you cut with) are:
      greyarrow: block upper- and lower-case letters
      greyarrow: seasonal shapes
      greyarrow: holiday diagrams
      greyarrow: animal shapes
      greyarrow: dinosaur shapes
      greyarrow: music & numbers
      greyarrow: geometric shapes
      greyarrow: nutrition shapes and many more!

    Copy Machine
    The copy machine is available for 20 cents a copy.

    Lending Library
    Library materials are available for loan to the community. Books may be checked out for a period of two weeks and the due date may be extended if there are no holds on the book. All books are categorized in the Dewey Decimal Code System. We have information on a variety of subjects to meet the interest of students, providers, parents and professionals including:

    • Ideas on working with children
    • Social problems facing children and families
    • Multicultural activities
    • Toys and equipment for children of all ages and abilities (Browse through our toy/equipment catalog)
    • Video lending library
      More than 300 titles in English and Spansih on health & safety, nutrition, hands-on learning activities, infant caregiving, special needs and much, much more! Consider our videos for staff training, parent meetings and/or your own professional development!

    Hours
    Beginning October 1, 2008, the Resource Lending Library will be available Monday through Thursday 8 am to 5 pm. They will be open on selected Saturday mornings throughout the year from 9 am to 12 noon. Currently, the library will be scheduled to be open on the following Saturdays: October 18 and November 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please RSVP with Cindi Truman at 661.861.5201.
