Although many factors affect the quality of care, the education and training of child care providers are important indicators of a high quality care setting. Community Connection for Child Care offers free and low-cost professional development opportunities and resources for child care professionals and parents. - Televised Training Programs
CCCC along with KCSOS broadcasts training programs and videos for viewing every Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The broadcast can be viewed on the KETN Network (SuddenLink Communications Channel 20 (formerly Cox), Bright House Network Channel 15, Charter Cable Channels 19 & 46 and MediaComm Channel 8).
- Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP)
Aims to increase the capacity of family child care providers and improve the quality of care for infants and toddlers in family child care settings. When participants complete a series of workshops and meet all licensing requirements, they become eligible for a choice of incentive packages to help them start or improve their child care program. CCIP supports the training and development of non-English speakers. Participants may be new or existing providers that are expanding to a larger capacity or serving families during non-traditional hours/days. - California Early Childhood Mentor Program
Provides advanced training for experienced child development providers who wish to become Mentors to new practitioners. Mentors are paid with stipends for their commitment to this program. 707.864.7000 - Child Development Training Consortium

Good news for licensed Family Child Care Providers, Licensed Child Care Center Staff and anyone who cares for children in an informal setting. Community Connection for Child Care through a Health and Safety Program of the California State Department of Education will pay $ 30.00 toward CPR & First Aid Training.
