A Message from the Director

Welcome to the 2007/2008 school year!

On behalf of the Kern County Consortium SELPA, welcome to the 2007/2008 school year! Each year this page is used to welcome and encourage you to participate in the many workshops, trainings, and experiences offered to assist you in your growth as a new or returning paraprofessional, educator, or administrator. The following pages detail the many exciting offerings available to you through the Kern County Consortium SELPA. These staff development opportunities can assist you in meeting the high expectations that you have set for yourself and your students.

In addition to the scheduled activities listed on the following pages, district directed and requested workshops are available as well. A district may contact the SELPA office and arrange a topic specific to the needs of their staff. The Kern County Consortium SELPA strives to be forward thinking in offering information and training in current topics of interest, as well as responsive to the immediate needs and requests of district personnel. We encourage you to draw upon the expertise of the SELPA Program Specialists when you have particular needs and questions.
