Prenatal Substance Exposure
There is a growing concern among educators and other professionals about the developmental outcomes of young children exposed prenatally to drugs or alcohol. In fact, the Government Accounting Office in their report, Drug-Exposed Infants: A Generation at Risk, states that this population is growing rapidly and at extraordinarily high risk for poor physical, behavioral, or developmental outcomes.
