California School Information Services (CSIS) - The Mission of CSIS is to:

  • Build capacity of Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to implement and maintain comparable, effective, and efficient student information systems that will support LEA daily program needs and promote the use of information for educational decision-making by school-site, district office and county staff.
  • Enable the accurate and timely exchange of student transcripts between Local Education Agencies and to post secondary institutions.
  • Assist Local Education Agencies to transmit state reports electronically to the California Department of Education, thereby reducing reporting burden of LEA staff.

This page will be used to post and updated CSIS Information including reporting deadlines, messages from CDE, and CSIS trainings.

Reporting Deadlines and Newsletters

This is a reminder that there are about six weeks until the December 12, 2008 Fall Submission deadline.  By this date, your data must be cleansed, reviewed and vetted by district stakeholders for accuracy so that your certified results can be considered “final”.  CDE will be sending letters to the superintendants of any LEA that does not meet the 12/12/2008 deadline.

We will start to host Webinar's in Studio 3 on the second floor of the City Centre building at 1300 17th Street. If you are having difficulty with any particular area, and may know others who have the same questions ,then let us know so we can get together and share ideas during a webinar.
